Synmathisi is not another site with online courses. It is a digital education network that connects students, parents, teachers, tutoring centres, municipalities, sponsors and technology.
The problem we are solving
Greek families spend a significant part of their income on supplementary education: tutoring centres, private lessons, revision, exam preparation. At the same time many capable teachers — newly qualified, supply teachers, retired teachers with decades of experience — do not have enough teaching hours.
The idea
Theory that has been explained well once does not need to be taught again from scratch to every student. Recorded lessons carry the theory. Live sessions are spent on what actually needs a teacher: questions, difficult points, method, application and exam technique.
The result is that a student can pay less, while a good teacher can reach more students and therefore has greater total earning potential.
How learning is organised
- Recorded learning — theory, notes, PDFs, worked examples, quizzes and revision.
- Live group classes — questions, method and exam preparation with a larger group at a lower cost per student.
- Small groups — 4 to 10 students, more interaction and closer guidance.
- One to one — premium personal tuition, when it is genuinely needed.
Child safety
The platform is used by minors, so it is designed with child safety from the start. Teachers are verified before they can publish. There is no open social network, no uncontrolled private messaging, and parental consent is required where the law expects it.
Technology and AI
AI will come after there are real courses, real teachers, real students and real usage patterns — not before. Technology should make education more accessible, not more impersonal. AI does not replace the teacher.
The question every feature must answer
Does this make education better, cheaper or more accessible? And does it give a good teacher more opportunity to work? If the answer is no, it is not a priority.
